When llama feel threatened, they do not hesitate to spit on their rival a mix of regurgitated stomach contents and saliva. They will not, however, spit on humans unless scared or attacked.
Reproduction
Mating can take place throughout the year. After a gestation period of 11 months, the female gives birth to 1 baby, which will be weaned around 7 months old.
Alimentation
Herbivorous, feeding on grass and hay.
